Mindjet MindManager 7.0 keyboard shortcut saves time copying formatting from one topic to another

Membership site owners using Mindjet MindManaer 7.0 to plan their site’s content and marketing can save a lot of time using Mindjet’s keyboard shortcuts. MindManager’s eyboard shortcuts save time and eliminate unnecessary use of the mouse to open menus and select commands. One of the most powerful MindManager keyboard shortcut, the one I use almost as much as Mindjet’s expand/collapse map keyboard shortcut, is the Format Painter shortcut.
The Format Painter keyboard shortcut allows mind mapping users to copy multiple aspects of a topic’s formatting from one topic to another. Copied attributes include:
- Topic shape
- Fill color
- Line color. style, and thickness
- Topic typeface, type size, type style, and color
To use MindManager 7.0’s Format Painter keyboard shortcut in the Windows environment:
- Select a topic containing the desired formatting, i.e., the attributes you want to copy.
- Hold down the CTRL+SHIFT keys while pressing the Spacebar.
- Select the topic you want to reformat. Instantly, as topic will be formatted the same as the original topic.
To save even more time when reformatting multiple topics, hold down the CTRL key while selecting additional topics.
This simple shortcut can save membership site owners using mind maps to plan their content and marketing a lot of mouse-clicks and menu-openings in the years ahead!
